Protect The Ones You Love With A Home Security System!

It’s hard not to be shocked at some of the news headlines you read today. There are all sorts of violent crimes being reported from all over the world, as far as America, London, Mexico and Canada. To go into detail over the viciousness of some of these crimes would be overkill. Needless to say, people of all ages and from all walks of life are at risk from home invaders. Some of these criminals rob for financial reasons. Others are mentally disturbed and may only assault others for sexual gratification or just sadistic purposes. Violent home invasion in particular is increasing in recent times. Why is this?

Perhaps criminals are starting to fear home security systems and second-guess the idea of breaking into a house. Why bother when it’s so much easier to just knock on the door and then knock the homeowner unconscious? Then is a major problem today because so many people are nave and don’t think twice about answering a door. It’s only polite to answer the door right? If a person looks friendly, then he or she probably is, or so thinks the homeowner who is faced with a split-second decision? You can never judge a book by its cover or a person by their appearance!

Some people have installed video cameras and keypads in their home so that they can see and converse with the person who is outside their door. Of course, such an elaborate setup may be too expensive for most homeowners. A better option is to equip your home with a home security system that addresses the threat of home invasion as well as burglary.

For example, one of the leading companies in home security, ADT, has introduced three categories of protection to their system. First, is the automatic smart sensor. This system can detect foreign movement inside the home and can even distinguish it from the movement of pets. As soon as a sensor identifies an intruder, a call is made from a live monitoring center to the place of residence. If the answerer is unable to provide a pass code then the call center representative calls local emergency officials.

The second category is that of the keypad system which puts the homeowner in direct contact to the monitoring center through a landline or wireless connection. From this point, the homeowner can request emergency help from fire officials, medical personnel or police in the local area. The third category is that of a remote panic button, which can also arm or disarm the system at will. This is ideal protection, since you could summon emergency officials at any time during a conversation.

Just the idea of a manual panic button (held visibly in your hand) could be enough to frighten a potential attacker away. However, the most important factor here is fast communication with a live monitoring service. Do not let your loved ones suffer because of the evil desires of criminals! Protect your home and your family with a home security system. For more information contact your local home security provider service.
